ACROBATIC ARTS

Acro-dance is similar to gymnastics but has a more artistic, dance and performance based approach. Students will learn skills similar to gymnastics such as Forward rolls, Cartwheels, Handstands, Front and Back walkovers (skills a Module 1 coach is qualified to teach)

For more advanced students they will require a Module 2 coach to be able to teach Aerials, Back Handsprings and Front Aerials.

We follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus and when students are proficient they can take Acro-dance exams. The Acrobatic Arts examination process is designed to motivate dancers. Having defined and achievable goals is a proven way to motivate dancers to excel. Dancers work through twelve exam levels, each designed to create a well balanced acrobat, including elements of flexibility, strength, balance, limbering and tumbling.

The health and safety regulations recommend to have around 10 students per class, this ensures proper supervision and ample room for students to practice skills without risk of endangering themselves or other students.

Miss Honey is a Module 1, 2 and Preschool Acrobatic Arts qualified teacher.
