At En Pointe we offer the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus in Ballet Tap and Modern. Students can work towards graded and vocational exams whilst improving their strength, coordination, flexibility and enhancing mental and physical wellbeing.

Acro-dance is similar to gymnastics but has a more artistic, dance and performance based approach. Students will learn skills similar to gymnastics such as Forward rolls, Cartwheels, Handstands, Front and Back walkovers (skills a Module 1 coach is qualified to teach)

For more advanced students they will require a Module 2 coach to be able to teach Aerials, Back Handsprings and Front Aerials.

We follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus and when students are proficient they can take Acro-dance exams.

The health and safety regulations recommend no more than 10 students per class, this ensures proper supervision and ample room for students to practice skills without risk of endangering themselves or other students.

This class is for absolute beginners who have no or little experience with tap. We will learn the basics and fundamentals of tap dance at a slow pace whilst having fun and learning a new skill.

Tap dance may look complicated but when broken down and taught correctly it can be easily mastered.

This class is for people who have previous experience of tap dance and are confident tappers. This class is equivalent to Grade 4/5 and above.

We will learn choreographed tap routines to popular music.

Street and Commercial dance is a popular style of dance that you will often see in pop music videos and on television. It can often incorporate different styles of dance and Acrobatic moves.

Lyrical dance is a combination of ballet and jazz dance that uses music with lyrics to inspire the movements of the dancer. Choreographers use the lyrics from the song to inspire the dance portraying the emotion and story of the song.

Dancers will also work on their technique, strength and flexibility which is a fundamental importance to any style of dance.

We offer a range of teen dance classes from 13-young adult in Ballet, Street and Commercial and Lyrical Dance.

I aim to create a positive nurturing environment where teenagers can dance and express themselves without feeling self conscious and judged.

Pre-school Acro-dance is a child and parent/carer dance class, for children aged 2-4 years old.

This class is a fun way to enhance your child's coordination, vocabulary, social skills and cognitive development through song and dance.

The perfect class for spending quality time with your little one.

This is a parent/carer participating class.
